LARGE EDDY SIMULATION OF FLOW OVER ELLIPTIC CYLINDER ARRAY IN SQUARE CONFIGURATION AT SUBCRITICAL REYNOLDS NUMBERS

Flow over arrays of cylinders different cross-sections has been an essential area research interest for a long time. For the estimation flow characteristics around cylinders, numerical simulation past four elliptic in square arrangement range spacing ratios is analysed this paper. Three considered present study are 3.45, 4.14 and 5.17. The results from compared with experimental findings obtained previously using cylinder arrays. fluid modelling performed by applying three-dimensional LES (Large-eddy simulation) commercial software ANSYS Fluent 19R1. involve both quantitative qualitative analyses form various patterns flow, drag lift coefficients, St (Strouhal number) PSD (Power Spectral Density) plots. Strouhal number values found 1 2 case 0.642 0.703. It observed that force coefficients encountered moderately varying ratios.
